This was one of the best months in a long time. It started out with the release of “My Eyes.” From there I was planning to shoot the video to “My Reflection” in Florida. I was blessed to connect with Space Cherry Films. From the moment they sent me the script that has been the only thing I was thinking about. I went to Florida on march 20th and we started shooting on the 21st. This is my second video that I have shot but this video was different. When I wrote this song I always pictured a girl who was hurting and dealing with not being able to forgive someone who has hurt her in the past. The song also deals with some past hurts in my life as well. I went to this video shoot hoping to make it look really good and have a great story line. When I got there me and the team from space cherry really clicked. At first it was difficult to really get into the song. I was having trouble relaxing and getting into the song. The one of the guys on the team said “Cam imagine there is a girl about to give up on life and sing directly to her. She needs you you. THats when everything changed during the shoot. It no longer was a song but a plea to this person that I have never met that I felt needed to know that God will give her the strength to overcome and she has to break those mirrors of past pain and hurts to be who God wants her to be. I was very moved by the shoot and learned so much about passion and emotions being used to honor God. I hope to meet this girl and see how God has moved in her life. We shot the video for 3 days and it will be done in may. Again I am very excited about this video.
After the shoot my wife and daughter came down and we went to disney world. That was great that place was huge. We had a lot of fun. My daughter was star struck by all the princesses her favorite is tangled. We also drove don to clear water Florida to the beach. Me and my wife and daughter relaxed on the beach for a few hours. We ate at a place called frenchy’s which was some of the best seafood I have had. Then we went to a place called wonder works. It was an upside down house it was crazy with all kinds of fun things to do in that place. We really needed a break from everything. This vacation was good for all of us. My wife really enjoyed this. We are really tired today but it was all worth it. I am still in awe about my life and how the Lord continues to bless me and my family. I wanted to explain the meaning of this album. I titled it My Eyes because as a Christian I see things totally different than I used too. (So brand New) sorry i had to add that. But on a serious note the Word says as a man thinketh in his heart so he is. (Proverbs 23:7). When we receive Christ as Lord and Savior there is a supernatural thing that happens in our heart. We have a desire to serve and please him. Without Christ our eyes have not been opened and we are only concerned with pleasing ourselves. There is also a renewing of the mind. So My Eyes is an album of music along with a message from a mind (mine) that is being renewed; Life from a christian point of view. I pray that this CD encourages our generation to depend on God not only in the 4 walls of the church but in every area of life. From dating, to boldness in the public square, victories in temptations, and most of all Glorifying God in all that we do. There are so many of us who deal with the same issues and not enough biblical answers to solve them. The Word teaches us everything that we need to know about life. I have learned that following God’s way is the way to finding joy. Doing things God’s way doesn’t always mean that things are going to be stress free, but it means that God will be there with us through it all. My relationship with Jesus has opened My Eyes to living life abundantly through any situation. My Eyes is my view on life but it is not just my view it is truth. I know that is not popular in our society to say that but I believe and know that living life through scripture pleases the Father and my experiences echoes the truth that has been given to us in the bible. this woman works so hard. Here lately I have seen her intentionaly training my daughter in the Lord. I look at them together and I am so thankful that God has blessed me with them. I have been really busy here lately and my wife has picked up where I have left off. I love this girl. We have been married for 11 years and it still feels new. Looking forward to this year and growing closer to her. Husbands love your wives like Christ loved the church.
